Beryl A. Stein

May 24, 1946 — June 23, 2019

Beryl A. Stein, 73, of Dayton, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019 after a lengthy illness.

She was born May 24, 1946 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Merrill A. and Ruth N. (Swartz) Large. She attended nursing school through the US Army program at the Butler County Hospital Nursing School. She dedicated a majority of her life caring for others as a nurse at Miami Valley Hospital and as a private/ home care nurse. Beryl enjoyed nature and was always up for the next adventure, everything was a "good experience".

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Howard, William, and David Large. Beryl is survived by children, Steve (Melissa) Stein, Kelly (Jay) O'Neal, Scott (Stacy) Stein; grandchildren, Samantha Stein, Steven Stein, Kimberly O'Neal, Ailish Stein, and Brynna Stein. She is also survived by her sisters, Tanya (Frank) Morrow and Maxine Gerginske; several nieces and nephews, Lynda Meinert and husband, Ken, Russ (Kim) Meinert, Dean (Dana) Meinert, Erica (Mike) Jesih, and Kayla Marks.

The family is thankful for the loving care Beryl received through Hospice of Dayton and for several of the caregivers at Walnut Creek for taking such good care of her as well.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel 820 Miamisburg Centerville Road.

If desired, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or The Dayton Children's Hospital Foundation in Beryl's memory.
