Beryl S. Ankeney

ANKENEY, Beryl S., left this world peacefully May 5, 2008 at 8:50AM at Hospice of Dayton. Beryl was born Dec. 1st., 1922 in Warren Co., OH. to Samuel & Edna (Morgan) Meredith. She was a graduate of Waynesville High School. Beryl met and married John C. Ankeney, Sr. and together they raised 5 children. She spent all but the last three years of her life in Beavercreek Township, and then made her home with Gary & Nelle in Spring Valley, OH. Beryl was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John, and sons Sam & Jim. She was also preceded in death by a brother and sister. She is survived by son, John (Carol) Ankeney of Beavercreek, son, Rick (Chris) Ankeney of Jamestown, daughter Nelle (Gary) Wical of Spring Valley, OH., and daughter-in-law, Debbie Ankeney of Xenia. Beryl has 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren scattered across this country. She also has a sister, Betty of Florida, sister-in-law, Glena of Waynesville, and two nieces. A special friend and co-worker, Chuck Gouder, Jr. also survives. After Beryl raised her children, she worked at Hospitality Homes West as a nurse-assistant and also in the activity department. She loved children, her job, raising flowers, and to read. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, Spring Valley United Methodist Church, or your favorite charity. The family will receive friends Friday, May 9, 2008 from 1-2 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 2 PM.
