Bertie Marie Pope

Bertie Marie Pope, age 87, of Kettering, passed away Friday, July 11, 2008. Bertie was born on October, 3, 1920 in Chaska, TN to the late William and Ethel Pope. She was a member of, and loved the Moraine Heights Church for over 40 years. She was an avid Tennessee football fan. Bertie was preceded in death by her brother Andrew Pope and brother-in-law Clint Cox. She is survived by her brother William (Ovedia) Pope; and sister Dorothy Cox; and 6 nieces and nephews. Bertie was loved by everyone. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 from 4-6 pm at Moraine Heights Church (5661 Munger Rd., Dayton, OH 45459). The funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm. Interment will be at Bishopville Cemetery in Knoxville, TN at a later date. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Moraine Heights Church in Bertie's name.
