Berthelda May Ziegler

Berthelda May Ziegler, 93, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024. Loving mother of Brenda (Cal) Hannah, cherished stepmother of Kelly (Scott) Clark, adored step grandmother of Alex Seymour, Kennedy (Gage) Goodwin and Crew Goodwin.

Berthelda was preceded in death by her first husband William H. Grimes; her second husband Donald Ziegler; her son Keith Grimes; her parents Chester and Martha Hewson as well as her siblings Robert Hewson, Leland Hewson and Carl Hewson.

Berthelda was born in Charlottesville, IN in 1931. She graduated from Xenia Central High School in 1949. She retired in 2006 from the University of Dayton as the night receptionist at Stuart Hall. Her daughter lovingly called her the "den mother". 

She was a devoted member of Cornerstone Baptist Temple where she would attend services to celebrate the Lord. 

She enjoyed working on her ancestral history as well as scrapbooking. Her favorite time was spent with her family. She will be very missed.
