Bertha Justice

Justice, Bertha E., 87 of Dayton passed away Thursday Sept. 1, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband John A. Justice, an infant son Clifford L. Justice, her mother Sarah Adkins, her father and step-mother Harrison and Octavia Adkins, three brothers Lawrence Adkins, Willard Adkins, and J.C. Howell, and one sister Sidney Marie Kelley. She is survived by two daughters Shirley Valencia and Dona Blair, one son-in-law James C. Blair, three grandchildren James R. Blair, Sheila M. Sutphin and Tanya L. Valencia, three great grandchildren Jessica Blair, Jason Jett, and Sarah Sutphin, three great great grandchildren Leanna, Erica, and Brooke. Both natives of the Pikeville, Kentucky area and both widowed, Bertha and her stepmother Octavia came to Dayton in 1986 to recuperate from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. They subsequently relocated to Dayton to be among children and grandchildren. Bertha shared many wonderful times in Dayton with family and friends and leaves us with beautiful memories. During the last 18 months she was cared for by her many friends at Livingston Care Center in Dayton. Private services are scheduled at Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Newcomer Funeral Home of Ketttering.
