Berta Peterson

PETERSON, Berta, age 80, of Dayton, born September 8, 1930, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Heartland of Beavercreek. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William Peterson; brothers, Oran, Arnold, and Aud Day; nephew, Cecil Day, and niece, Mary Helen Lively.

She is survived by her sons, Gary Peterson of Middletown, Steve and wife Mechelle Peterson of Columbia, SC, Michael Peterson of Dayton, Jeffery Peterson of Dayton; daughters, Claudia Peterson of Denton, TX, Melissa and husband Al Hickey of Beavercreek; grandchildren, Rebekah, Racheal, Stephen, Elijah, Lily, Cherry, Abra, Dayna, and Jayme; 6 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was a longtime member of Airway Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Monday, August 1, 2011 at the funeral home. Interment at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery.
