Bernie Shouse "Uncle B", age 94, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Hospice of Dayton.
He was born December 22, 1920, in Owsley, KY. to the late, Bill and Anna (Barrett) Shouse. Bernie was one of eight siblings; he had five brothers and two sisters, Cecil, Robert, Nathan, Estil, Fred, Francis and Helen. He married the love of his life Violet Mae Morris on November 30, 1942 and she preceded him in death on January 14, 1998. He retired from Dayton Tire & Rubber and spent his time traveling in his RV with Violet, playing golf, bowling and flea marketing.
He is survived by his daughter, Kaye (Blaine Jr.) Cooper; one granddaughter, Shelley Cooper (Mark Hoffman); sister-in-laws, Lillie Spicer, Golden Chenoweth, and Bernice Morris; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends, whose lives "Uncle B" touched are invited to the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2015, to celebrate his life, reminisce and support each other. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 10 a.m at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME with Interment to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
