Bernice Ann Griffin

Bernice Ann Griffin, age 91 of Kettering, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025. She was born February 25, 1933 in Houghton, Michigan. Bernice served her country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War where she met her husband, Francis Griffin. Bernice was a person of great faith. She was a Charter Member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Lutheran's Women's Missionary League. She also supported the Emmanuel Lutheran Vacation Bible School. Bernice and her husband, Francis were part of the Dan Fellowship group led by Ken and Lily Schepers. Her status as a veteran was important to her and she was a Founding member of the American Legion Post 598. Bernice enjoyed Bowling and was an avid reader. She cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed. 

She is preceded in death by her Husband of 68 years, Francis A. Griffin.

Bernice is survived by her Son, James Griffin; Daughters, Carol Griffin, Mary Crowe, Joann Clark; 5 Grandchildren; 9 Great-Grandchildren; and by numerous other family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 30th at 11:00AM at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 4865 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH 45440. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the time of the service at 11:00AM. Bernice's service will be live streamed at (emmanuellc.org).
