Bennett Leon Brown

March 31, 1942 — November 19, 2019

Bennett Leon Brown, age 77, of Huber Heights, passed away November 19, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born March 31, 1942 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky to the late Edward and Viola Brown.

Bennett was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. He retired from Chrysler Corporation. He proudly served his county as a United States Army Veteran. His nickname was the goat man, he loved working in cement and finishing cement. Bennett loved animals, spending time with his family, watching wrestling, and riding his Harley motorcycle. You could always find him sporting his bib overalls. To know him was to love him, and he was loved by all who knew him. Bennett accepted Jesus as his Savior in 2016.

In Bennett's words, "he wanted to live hard, die young, and leave a beautiful memory".

In addition to his parents, Bennett was preceded in death by his wife Berthe Brown; foster-daughters, Susan Dunn and Shelley Derringer; brothers, Clarence J. Brown and M. Austin Brown; sisters, Mildred Thompson, Betty Lawrence, and Joyce Whitaker; and great-grandson, Jordyn Elzey.

Bennett is survived by his son, Henry Brown (Cheryl); adopted son, Matthew Brown; adopted-daughter Ashlee (Fred) Brown-Rowland; foster-daughter, Cynthia Elzey; sister, Viola Robbins; brothers, Floyd Brown, Casper (Ida) Brown, and Irvin (Margie) Brown; life time special friend Katie Norman; friends at Legacy and Abners; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
