Beaulah "Booie" I. Kerr, age 92, of Dayton, OH passed away Tuesday January 15, 2013.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Anson and Opal Morris; husband, Homer W. Kerr Jr.; son, James Kerr, and brother, Wendel Morris.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Vice; twin sister, Beatrice Funkhouser; grandchildren, Timothy and Joel (Lindsey) Kerr, Heather (Justin) Martin, and Kelly Vice; great grandson, Jett Kerr; nephew, Gary (Tammy) Funkhouser; and niece, Elaine Wright. A special thanks to Lewis Laurito for all the special care.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, President of the PTA from 62-64 at Franklin Elementary School in Dayton, 60 year member of the Eastern Star, Victory Chapter 410 and served as Past Worthy Matron. She was also a member of Spinning Wheels, President of the 19th District Association, Bara Court, Oriental Shrine, Azizah Temple, Ladies of the Nile, Antioch Hillbillies, Honorary Kentucky Colonel, and a member of American Legion Auxiliary 675.
Booie grew up on a farm in Mowryston, OH and had many fond memories and stories of her childhood. She was an avid Cincinnati Reds Fan, loved Dancing with the Stars and Cracker Barrel. She was loved by everyone who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
Visitation is Saturday January 19, 2013 from 11am to 12pm with funeral service following at 12pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
An Eastern Star service will start immediately before the service.
Interment is in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriner's Hospital.
