Beatrice "Bea" Stein

Beatrice "Bea" Stein, age 79, of Miamisburg passed away on November 1, 2023. She was born on August 26, 1944 in Mount Clemens, Michigan to the late Robert "Mac" and Loretta MacDonald. In addition to her parents, Bea is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, William "Steinie"; sisters, Elizabeth L. Schlachter, Eva Mae Overton, Mary Margaret Overton; brother, Robert John MacDonald and grandson, Georg Stein.
Bea is survived by her daughters, Jane Von Dohre, Susan Stein; grandchildren, Daniel (Kelsey) Kotnik, Joseph Stein, Sarah Kotnik, Matthew (Madison) Stein, Nicholas (Logan) Von Dohre, Abigail Von Dohre, Benjamin Von Dohre, Emerson Von Dohre; great-grandchildren, Howard Kotnik, Elliot Stein; brothers, Rev. Richard J. MacDonald, Norman H. (Nancy) MacDonald and James E. MacDonald; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Bea was a graduate of Norwalk St. Paul High School, Class Of 1962, of Carnegie College in Cleveland in 1964 and of Tiffin University in 2002. After marrying William "Bill" Stein in June of 1966 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Bellevue, Bea moved to Tiffin where they belonged to Tiffin St. Joseph Catholic Church. She and Bill were active in many organizations, including Girl Scouts of the USA, Knights of Columbus, the Moose and their church. After having some health issues, Bea moved to Miamisburg to be closer to her family. She joined St. Henry Catholic Church, where she attended Leisure Club and joined NAIM. She became a member of the Miamisburg Senior Adult Club and enjoyed playing card games, BINGO and visiting with friends.
Bea will be remembered for her sense of humor and strong spirit.
Services will be privately held. Memorial contributions can be made to Tiffin St. Joseph Catholic Church.
