Age 77 of New Carlisle, Ohio, departed from this world to join her Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 27, 2006.
She was born June 27, 1929, to Ruth Ann Reynolds Slone and Isom Slone, Jr., in Pippa Passes, KY.
She married her childhood sweetheart, Homer, in 1946 and the couple later moved to the Dayton area.
She will be remembered as a loving and longsuffering servant of God. A Peacemaker and a wonderful cook of Family dinners, which we all were required to attend. No exceptions! Family is there for Family, always. These are Grandma Rules. We will continue to obey Family traditions in honor of our beloved Grandma.
She is survived by her two sisters, Annette (& Paul) Combs of Paintsville, KY and Carrie (& Clyde) Anderson of Lexington, KY; one daughter and son-in-law, Diana & Ron Jenkins of Dayton; two grandchildren, Rod Jenkins (Ann) of New Carlisle and Robyn Jenkins (JD) of Mt. Healthy; two great granddaughters, Sandy and Josie; and by many members of her extended family, friends and devoted church.
She was preceded in death by her infant child, Anna Jean; her loving husband of 60 years, Homer, both parents; sisters, Hazel, Lizzie, Myrtle and Wilma; and brothers, A. J., Angus, Dale, Kelly, Eddis "Ted", Ernest, Everett and Ralph.
Beatrice was a member of the House of Prayer Church and will be missed by her church family.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 3, at the House of Prayer Church, 1220 Wallaby Road, Beavercreek (off Dayton-Xenia Road). Interment will follow at New Carlisle Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 12 Noon – 1:00 p.m., Wednesday. Flowers may be delivered to Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek.
