HAMPTON, Barry L. "Big Bear," age 59, of Trenton, passed away peacefully in his sleep Thurs., May 13, 2004. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Shirl, to whom he was married 37 years; 1 daughter Dawn French (Eric); 1 son Barry L. Hampton II (Melinda); 3 sisters Arbutis McCombs (Will), Lydia Banks and Angela Stall (Michael); 1 brother Gary Hampton; 7 grandchildren Corey, Kylie, Erin, Emilee, Stephanie, Madyson and Katelyn; 3 step-grandchildren Amy, Chris and Jennifer and numerous nieces, nephews, brothers & sisters-in-law and friends. Barry was a loving father and grandfather who was loved by all. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, an O.T.R. truck driver for over 25 years having retired in 1991 and enjoyed playing chess with his grandson and riding motorcycles. Barry's family was the greatest source of joy in his life. Funeral services 11 A.M., Tues., May 18, 2004 at the Truth Tabernacle Apostolic Church 6879 Hamilton-Middletown Rd. Pastor Daniel Hidlebaugh officiating. Interment Meyers Cemetery, North Hampton. Visitation will be Monday from 3 - 7 P.M. at the church and for 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
