PRESLEY Jr. "Pa", Barney Washington, age 75, of Dayton, went home to be with the lord on Friday, November 18, 2005. Barney was born in Buchanan County, Virginia, to Barney W. and Minnie Belle Presley. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Juanita, on March 30, 2005; both parents; 12 brothers and sisters; one great-grandson, Tyler Potter. He is survived by his sons, Darrell (Kim), Larry (Mary), Gary, and Kenny (Rhonda); 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a special niece and nephew, Hattie Evans and Monroe Johnson; numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. Barney was a United States Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict, worked for DP&L for 36 years, and was a member of First Dayton Freewill Baptist Church. Barney was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2005 from 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home (4104 Needmore Rd.) where funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Pete Fee officiating. Burial will follow in Byron Cemetery.
