Barbara May Wooliver Dunkle Ogden

January 6, 1964 — January 23, 2022

Barbara (Rosie/Rosebud) May Wooliver-Dunkle-Ogden, born January 6 1964, was healed and declared cancer free January 23, 2022. "No. None. I've not once been in any pain! I feel GREAT! God is good, he is faithful and true." Is what she would proclaim when nurses and doctors would ask if she was in any pain. When she was unable to speak and was asked if she was in pain, she would shake her head no, point to the sky and lift her hands high in worship. This stayed true the entirety of it all. During her hospital stay she continued to give God the praise as she was surrounded by her family who loved on her and spoiled her rotten. If you know her family you know some of us would of never obeyed the two visits per day pandemic rules BUT thank God they never asked us to.

To know her was to love her. To love her was to know and to love God. Barb was a faithful, committed and loving wife to her husband Robert Ogden who was there for her and took good care of her through it all.

As a mom, Barb wasn't the cool mom that let you break the rules, being "a friend" was never priority. When out of line, she'd set 'em straight. Scoldings were handed out, talks were given, lessons were taught and sentences were wrote. More often than that Barb would praise them for doing good. She was their cheerleader and coach, their light that never went dim. They could tell her anything, she never judged 'em. She loved them all unconditional. She prayed for them daily. She did it all. There was Nothing, I mean NOTHING, she wouldn't do(didn't do)for them. This is a few of many reasons as to why she was not just their mom but their best friend. Her beautiful daughters Ashley (Scottie) and Brittany(Josh) Dunkle and also her Nephew Tim Blythe(who's upbringing she played a role in & looked at like a son) are all a reflection of her. Good job Barb!

Barb was not your average Mamaw, she exceeded average. She was loving, caring, patient, fun, and so much more to her grandbabies, Kam'ron, Ethan, Jayla, Kayla, Lula, Justin, Josh Jr, Samuel and Prince. She loved being silly, goofing off and having fun with them, almost as much as she loved teaching them about the Lord. They loved their Mamaw, they were her world.

There is nothing like the bond between a brothers and sisters. Being the youngest of her siblings made that bond even more special. She was loved by them all. It's been said that it takes a village to raise a child, Barb and her big sisters would probably say it only takes a sister or two. Each in their own special way, both Diane(Basil) and Marie shared something special with their baby sister. While Barb and Marie had special motherly type bonds with each other's kids, Diane's girls shared a sisterly bond with their close in age aunt. Diane was not just a big sister to Barb, she was a big help in raising her and looked at her like one of her own. That's just a couple examples of how special she was to her big brothers and sisters, including Henry Rolen, Donna Jean, Elvis Sr(Cheryl) Wooliver. They loved their Rosebud. There's the family God chose for you and there's the family God gives you along the way. Barb was blessed with her God given siblings Karen(Rick), Carl Jr(Tina), Teresa(Alex) and Melissa(Edgar Sr). Without her Dunkle family, including the father of her kids Douglas Sr Barb would have never found the man who became her Dad.

With so many sibling, you can only imagine the amount of nieces and nephews she had. I can guarantee that they will all agree that she was more than just an Aunt. That each and everyone of them felt special to her, because that is what they were. They all are grateful to their moms for sharing them with their Aunt Rosie/Barb.

The list of family & close friends who Barb will be missed by is one that never ends. A list that includes her Church family(especially the little ones who she taught in Sunday school) and her Target family who she spent more than twenty of her last years with. Never preachy or judgmental nor overbearing; while in the car or at home, In an isle at Target or where ever she was, she shared Jesus with all of us. She was a true child of God that not only talked the talk but lived for the Lord. She left her mark. Her light will never go dim. We are Human, that is why we hurt. That is why we cry. We know God and we knew Barb, which is why she would want us to smile & to have peace. This is the celebration of the life of a woman who touched us all. One where doctors were baffled while looking at reports telling Barb she should be in so much pain. One where Barb would tell them God is Good, that she felt great as she she would raise her hands to worship the Lord. "God is good. He is faithful and true." Today she is cancer free in Heaven with her son Douglas Jr, his wife Amanda, Mother Ruby Julia Honeycutt, Brothers Marvin Rolen & Robert Wooliver, her Dad Carl Dunkle Sr And Margaret(Nanny and Papaw), nieces Tina, Angie, Krystal and Tamara, nephews Elvis Jr, Philip Jr and so so many more.

I believe Barb would love this to end with her favorite bible verse:

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3: 5-6
