Barbara Townsend, age 78, of Miamisburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2014.
She was born January 29, 1936 in Dayton, to the late Joseph & Pearl Meyers.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Townsend; and son, Joseph Townsend.
She is survived by her sons, Steven (Karen) Townsend, Jeff Townsend and Chris (Valerie) Townsend; grandchildren, Racheal, Lucas, Jacob, Jessica, Lorissa, Heather, Corey and Kylie; several great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Buzz.
Barbara worked at Walgreens in Miamisburg for 15 years.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 1:30-3:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 3:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439).
