Barbara Lee Spitzig

Barbara Lee Spitzig passed away on March 8, 2023. Age 88. She was preceded in death by her Husband Thomas Spitzig, Parents Leo and Wanda Nurrenbrock, Daughter Jane Burnett and Son-In-Law Randy Burnett, Grandson Shane Bolyard, and her beloved Aunt, Ellen Reinke. Survived by Susan (Robert) Davis, Timothy (Laura) Spitzig and Matthew (Joseph Ambrosi) Spitzig. Also survived by grandchildren Stephanie (Ryan) Bancroft and Brian Spitzig.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida she moved to Dayton at an early age. She attended Julienne Catholic High School and then went to nursing school affiliated with St. Elizabeth Hospital.
A nurse for almost 50 years, she found a niche in psychiatric medicine. She was family focused and devoted to their well-being. She loved dogs, playing the piano and knitting. She will be deeply missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 11 am at Incarnation Catholic Parish (55 Williamsburg Lane, Dayton, OH 45459). The family will receive friends from 10 am until the time of service.
To honor her memory donations may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.
