Barbara Ann Schenkel

Barbara Ann Schenkel, age 88 of Centerville, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023. She was born August 1, 1935 in New Haven, Connecticut the daughter of the late Francis and Mary Gormley. Barbara attended nursing school and worked as a Registered Nurse for over 20 years. She Served her country in the United States Airforce as a military nurse earning the rank of Second Lieutenant. While living in Florida Barbara volunteered for All About You Women's Boutique, supporting women with Breast Cancer. She loved Playing Golf and was an adept player of Board Games, Cards, Dominos, Mahjong, and anything else on the table. What made Barbara happiest was her family, being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Barbara is survived by her Daughters, Kathleen Miller (Michael), Maureen Schenkel (Gary McGrath), and Christine Stack (Kurt); Grandchildren, Justin Miller (Allie), Logan Stack, and Mitchell Stack; Great-grandchildren, Benjamin Miller, and Nora Miller; and by numerous other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her Husband of 52 years, Raymond H Schenkel; Brother, Francis Gormley; Sister, Jane Napolitano; and her parents.
