The world lost a beautiful soul when Barbara L. Russell-Downing, age 86, of Tipp City went home to be with Jesus on October 5, 2023. She was born in Beckley, West Virginia on August 18, 1937 to the late Herbert C. & Mary T. Lawson.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert D. Downing and son-in-law, William Hughes.
Her memory will be cherished by her children: Cindy Hughes (Mike Garrett), Becky (Donnie) Fleming, and Robert "Chip" Russell Jr.; grandchildren: Amy (Fred) Ratermann, Megan (Terry) Robinson, Justin Stafford, Jarrod (Jendayi) Stafford, Ashley Stafford, Aaron Wendling, Syndey Bowers, and Dalton (Kerrie) Russell; great-grandchildren: Crile Staudt, Trenton Robinson, Jersey Robinson, Amaya Johns, Aubrey Stafford, Alden Stafford and Elias Russell; and many extended family and friends.
Family and friends are welcome to gather from 9:30am to 10:30am on Friday, October 27, 2023 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, where the Memorial Service will begin at 10:30am.
