Barbara Rosell

ROSELL, Barbara Jean (Wooley) "Whispering Wheat", age 77, of Kettering , was reunited in Heaven with her beloved, Curtis Eugene, on January 5, 2010. Barbara was born to Miss Alice Freshour on November 3, 1932 in Dayton. She was a proud graduate of Stivers High School where she became Head Majorette. Barbara married her longtime childhood sweetheart, Curtis Eugene Rosell, on July 12, 1952, who preceded her in death on January 1, 2008. Preceding her in death also was her infant son, Stephen, and her loving mother Alice. Barbara was a former member of the Shawnee Nation United Remnant Band. She was an avid "Rabbit" collector. She enjoyed painting ceramics, and she loved her "Find-A-Word" books. Barbara's baking magic lead to her to be known for her famous Pumpkin Bread, Coffee Cake, and Sour Cream Cookies! She will always be known as "Babs", and "Grandma Bunny". Barbara's gentle and kind spirit, her affectionate hugs, and her infectious laughter will be sorely missed by all who loved her. Barbara was a loving Mommy to her daughter, Brenda Catherine "Tiny Tears" Rosell, her pride and joy. She is survived by Bessie and Jerry Kirk of Kettering, Bernetta Chuvalas of Kettering, Careen Rosell of Gratis, Marie Kirk of Cincinnati, Edith and Bill Kelly of Kettering, Charlotte and Bill Davidson of West Carrollton, Melvin and Delores Rosell of Salt Lake City, UT, numerous and adoring nieces, and nephews, and by many loving family members and friends. Also survived by special sons, Joe DiMaggio of Casade, MD, Don Stephenson of Huber Heights, and Earl Blosser of Greenville, and by special daughter, Carol Chatfield of Meadville, PA. Special thanks and appreciation to Hospice of Dayton for their continuous love and support. Also a special hug to Mom's angel, nurse Teresa Freeland, who helped comfort Mommy along on her journey. A private celebration of Barbara's life will be held in the Spring. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family, or Hospice of Dayton. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel.
