Barbara A. Richey

Barbara A. Richey, age 65, of Beavercreek, passed away February 26, 2025. Barbara was born in Flint, Michigan on July 20, 1959 to Zack and Mary Rowland. 

Barbara is preceded in death by her father. 

She is survived by husband of 47 years, James M. "Jim" Richey; sons, James (Dana) Richey, Jr. and Justin (Alicia) Richey; daughters, Sara (James) Ernest and Shaina (Daniel)Trosclair; mother, Mary Rowland; brother, Roger Rowland; as well as her grandchildren, Brandon, Jackson, Anaya, Aiden, Levi, Landrey, Nolan, Harper, Bennett and Sophie. 

Barbara was the foundation of her family, she built her home with love and stability. Being a military wife and mother, her silent sacrifices molded her children into the men and women and parents they are today.

She had an unwavering support for her children. Barbara was trustworthy, accepting and witty. She had a beautiful soul and a great sense of humor. 

She was a member of the Buckeye Harley Davidson Owners Group for several years. 

In her free time, she enjoyed arts and crafts, her dogs, being outdoors, spending time with her family in the pool, face timing her grandchildren and thrifting. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara's memory to the Ronald McDonald House (555 Valley St., Dayton 45404) or to the National MS Society (P.O. Box 91891, Washington, D.C. 20090-1891).

Visitation will be held from 4:00pm-6:00pm on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek).
