Barbara M. Preston, age 92 of Cincinnati, went home on Friday, July 16, 2021 surrounded by family. She was born on September 23, 1928 in Lynch, Kentucky to the late David Gordon and Thelma Cooper. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Thelma Kennedy and numerous cousins.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Leah) Preston; son, Gordon Kennedy; grandson, Jason Kennedy. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.
She was a devout Methodist and a proud supporter of animal charities. Barbara was a cancer survivor and a member of Patterns Survivor Group. She loved to watch butterflies, do puzzles, read, travel, and walk the trails at Sharon Woods. Barbara is well loved and will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
Out of respect for Barbara's wishes, a private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Dayton, SICSA Pet Adoption & Wellness Center, or an animal charity of your choice.
