Barbara J. Murphy

It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara J. Murphy announces her passing on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. Barbara was born on February 2, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Howard and Joy Swartz.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Cheryl Klien, daughter, Bobbie Jo Stewart and daughter-in-law Debbie Murphy.

She is survived by her husband, William Murphy, the love of her life which she married in 1988. She is also survived by her sister, Kathy (Don) Keeney; daughter, Roselynda Anderson, daughter, Tina (Dave) Grider; sons, Greg (Pam) Murphy, William Murphy Jr.; grandchildren, Ronnie (Brandy) Gillespie, Joey (Britney) Gillespie, Josh Middleton, Donnie Middleton, Andrew Grider, Dave Jr. (Michelle) Grider, Kevin (Britney) Grider, Ashley Howard, Ashley Grider; great grandchildren, Braden, Kaylee, Logan, Bailey, Ava, Millie, Gretchen, Cherry, Adi, Alice, Bella, Brooklyn, Ian, Mason, Cain, Nye Nye, Madison, Lil Mason, Bradley and Junior; as well as many other family and friends.

Barbara loved to cook for large gatherings. She loved to read books, loved the Cleveland Browns, but most importantly was her love for her family and her great grandchildren. She loved a busy house and no one was a stranger!

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424). Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 10:30 am, also at the funeral home.
