Barbara Jean McCrea, age 58 of Dayton, OH, formerly of Rome, NY went to be with the Lord on September 8, 2013. She was born in Charleston, SC to Thomasina Bennett and the late Isaac Ford.
Barbara is survived by her loving sons DeWayne Bennett, Larry (Buffy) McCrea, and Kevin Brown; mother and step-father, Rev. Arthur and Thomasina Kennedy; grandchildren, Quinten, Keith, Devin, Connor, Colline, Nysia, Malia, and Sevin; fiancé, Benjamin Harris; siblings, Isaac (Sherelyn) Bennett, Yvonne Bennett, and Beverly (Joe) Holmes; special friends, Miss Mary and Sylvia; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Barbara was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
She was a dedicated employee at Stonehedge Nursing Home for many years, and a manager at Wendy's for several years.
