Barbara G. Mayes, age 77 of Kettering, passed away Monday, October 20, 2014 at Sycamore Hospital. She was born March 19, 1937 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of Lesley and Vella Galloway.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Roger and Robert Galloway.
Barbara is survived by her son, Mike (Jill) Mayes; a daughter, Missy (Trey) Hill; two sisters, Patty (Jim) Geary and Mary Denlinger; sister-in-law, Judy Galloway; and five grandchildren, Angela, Scott, Courtney, Kyle, and Collin. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until time of service at the funeral home. Please visit www.newcomerdayton.com to share a memory in the family guest book. Memorial donations may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation.
