Barbara "Barb" Lou Koogler, age 79, passed away May 15, 2017 after a long struggle with Alzheimers.
She was born on December 18, 1937 to the late Charles and Marjorie (Hapner) Mathis.
She was retired from Krogers and her own business of Krazy Kards, her painted yard cards. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor, contagious smile and selfless outpouring of love. She was passionate about painting and gardening, and enjoyed card club and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Denny Mathis. Barb is survived by her children and spouses, Denny (Garry) Smart, Chris (Kristie) Koogler, Kary Koogler, Cindy (Chad) Bruner, Michael Koogler and Kevin Koogler; 12 loving grandchildren, Kelly (Paul) Sakalas, Steve (Jesse) Bucher, Greg (Darlene) Smart, David (Aubrey) Smart, Colten, Colen and Corine Koogler, Zach (Jennifer) Long, Josh (Andrea) Long, Mallory (Kip) Gray, Sierra Bruner, and Dalton Bruner; and 2 great grandchildren, George Sakalas and Ansley Gray.

A memorial gathering will be held from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd, where memorial service will follow at 1:00pm.
