Barbara Jo Phillips

April 28, 1952 — January 3, 2013

Barbara Ipock Phillips, 60, of Centerville OH, passed away on January 3, 2013 at University of Cincinnati Hospital after her fight with liver failure.

Barbara was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, Meme, and wonderful friend. Once meeting Barbara, you never felt like a stranger. She had a way to make everyone her friend. She had different jobs in her life but the one that was the most important was the work for her Heavenly Father. . She loved her heavenly father and strived to be like him. She was active in her church and the work for God.
The biggest achievement in Barbara's life was her family. She is preceded in death by her mother Josephine Grant Ipock and father John Perry Ipock Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, William Charles Phillips and daughters Katherine Phillips Trout and Mary Phillips. Also survived are her son-in-law Roy Trout Jr and future son-in-law Christopher Stone. She has one grandson that was the apple of her eye, Charlie Trout. Also she is survived by her brother John Perry Ipock III and his wife Mary Ipock, Sister Annette Atwell and her husband Glenn Atwell, and sister Gail Barton and her husband Fred Barton. Also surviving is her sister-in-law Judy Metcalf, sister-in-law Faye Beeder, sister-in-law Geri Phillips, and brother-in-law Terry Phillips and his wife Joan Phillips. She has numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins that she loved.
Her family wanted to share this prayer that was on a cloth she slept with for the last year:
Prayer of Agreement
Father we stand in agreement, in the name of Jesus Christ, for this person in need of healing. As they pray this prayer, we believe in faith with them, that every sickness, disease, infirmity, whether physical or emotional, will be healed.
Father, I forgive everyone that I hold any hatred, grudge or ill-will against and I pray that you would bless them.
I know that Jesus, not only paid the price for my sins with his blood; but also purchased my healing through the stripes laid on his body. I believe because I received Jesus, that not only are my sins forgiven, but that I am also healed. I know my healing is not because of some deed that I have accomplished, but only by your grace.
Father, I know it is your will for me to be well, because I believe these verses were written to me and for me. I receive your Word into my heart. As I read each verse daily, I know they are coming alive in my heart, renewing my mind and providing health to all my flesh.
I thank you that I walk in victory. Amen
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
