Barbara Jean (Joiner)Hines-Blackman was the eldest daughter of 12 Siblings. Barbara was born in Montgomery, Alabama to Tenia Joiner and Julius Rudolph on February 16, 1964. Barbara became a Native of Dayton, Ohio in 1980. Barbara graduated from Dunbar High School on May 23, 1982, and later dedicated her life as a Jehovah's Witness that same year. Barbara married Raymond O. Hines Sr, in August 1983. Barbara devotedly raised 3 of her siblings as her own. She became a Widow in 2001, and later married Emeal Blackman in May 2009. Barbara worked as a Devoted Daycare Provider and Independent Caregiver for the State of Ohio for 15 years, where she poured all the love and care to all the children and clients she cared for. Barbara with her nurturing and caring disposition was a Paraprofessional for Mad River School District and later went to Clark State, pursued, and obtained an Associate degree in Social Work and received a Chemical Dependency Counselor Certification for the State of Ohio, where she worked for the Morrow's Group as a CDCA. Barbara's magnetic energy and "Million Dollar "smile would light up the room. Her nurturing and caring demeanor spoke more than words could say when it came to her Family and Friends. Barbara battled a lengthy illness of Breast Cancer and gracefully passed August 20, 2022. She was surrounded by her Devoted Family and Friends. She was 58 years old.
Barbara is preceded in death by her Maternal parents Tenia Joiner and Julius Rudolph, Maternal Grandmother, Emma Dixon, Fraternal Grandparents, Husbands, Raymond O. Hines Sr., and Emeal Blackman, Siblings, Terry Joiner, and 3 other Siblings Raymond Rudolph, Debra Rudolph, and Pamela Rudolph.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memories to 14 Siblings, 6 Devoted Sisters, Emma Jean Joiner, Deborah E. Joiner, Arnita Faye Joiner, Tameka D. Hines-Johnson, Lashundra D. Hines (Ron), Shenequa Joiner (Dewayne), Columbus, Ohio and 2 additional sisters, Brenda Dowdell (Montgomery, Alabama), Christine Rudolph (Atlanta, Georgia) all born in Montgomery, Alabama, but reside in Dayton, Ohio. 4 Devoted brothers, Henry Joiner (Montgomery, Alabama), Harold D. Joiner, Darryl D. Joiner, James O. Hines (Dallas, Texas) and 2 additional brothers, Carl Rudolph (Montgomery, Alabama) Gregory Rudolph (Atlanta, Georgia) all born in Montgomery, Alabama, but reside in Dayton, Ohio. Dear and Devoted friends, Melissa Powell, Hazel Higgins, Dorothy Perry, Christine McGhee, Jean Foster Riley, Melanie Taylor, and Michelle Bedell. A host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Friends that she dearly loved.
The Hines/Joiner family would like to extend appreciation to Ohio Hospice of Dayton, Dr. Desir (MVH), Dr. Kalahasthy, Dr. Koduri, and the Huber Heights Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, and all who have shown their expressions of kindness, love, and donations during the passing of our Beloved sister, Barbara. She will be deeply missed.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 9:00am to 10:00am at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will follow at 10:00am, officiated by Brother Rick Bedell.
