Barbara L. Gorman, age 84 of Xenia, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. She was surrounded by family who witnessed her complete healing of dementia as she took her last breath on earth and was transported into her heavenly home.
Barbara loved to read, do word search puzzles, sing in the choir, share her testimony, and care for others. She was a prayer warrior and loved her family deeply. She was a member of Hillside Chapel in Beavercreek, Ohio.
She was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Walter and Mary DeHaven on June 29, 1931. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Gorman; brothers Tom, Bill, Dick and Lee DeHaven, and son-in law, Wayne Cooper.
Barbara is survived by her sister, Ruth Ann Caplinger; brother, Ted (Barbara) DeHaven; sons: Richard (Lynn) Gorman, Steve Gorman, Gary Gorman, and Mike (Christy) Gorman; daughter, Betty Lou Cooper; grandchildren: Dana, Dan, Chris, Melinda, Michael, Karen, Heather, Tenaya, Kris, Jennifer, and Hanna; 16 great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends.
