Barbara Depew, age 73, of Kettering, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 9, 2014.
She was recently preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Vernon Depew; parents, and Grayson & Millie Wilcher.
Barbara is survived by her children, Jeweline Smith, JoAnn Fowler, Fonda (Mark) Frazier and Ron (Dena) DePew; grandchildren, Chad (Julie) Smith, Chris (Courtney) Smith, Casey (Stacy) Smith, Cory (Elly) Smith, Matt (Michelle) Fowler, Mark (Rachel) Dell, Sarah D'elia, Nathaniel DePew, Shain DePew and Stephanie DePew; great-grandchildren, Ty and Colten Smith, Dalton, Layne and Garrett Smith, Grayson Smith, Tayler Norris, Ava Fowler, Michael and Owen Dell and Payton Brubaker; sisters; Lavonne (Curtis) Malott and Donna Wright; brothers, Earl Wilcher, Marvin (Judy) Wilcher, Linnie (Mary) Wilcher, Lonnie Wilcher and Jery Wilcher; sisters-in-law, Audrey (Dick) Plemmons and Jean Toon; brother-in-law, Don Depew; her beloved dog, Bubby; and many other relatives and friends.
Barbara enjoyed fishing, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 9-10am at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 10am. Vernon & Barbara will be laid to rest together at David's Cemetery.
