Barbara K. Couch

Barbara K. Couch, age 74 of Dayton, passed away January 7, 2024 at The Hospice of Dayton. She was born June 18, 1949 in Dayton to the late Woodson and Nancy Ann (Jones) Sandlin. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Tensley Couch; niece, Kimberly Sandlin and brother-in-law, Logan Couch.

She is survived by her two children, Jeffrey (Tracee) Couch and Sherry (Ron) Lingus; sister, Kathleen Couch; grandchildren, Barbara Jean (Daniel), Emily Marie (Aaron), Jeffrey Daniel (Brianna), Kayla Nicole, Courtney Ann, Sidney Lynn, Kristopher Dean, Katelyn Marie (Branden), Ronald Alexander and Tensley Dylan; great-grandchildren, Garrett Lee, Olivia Grace, Deklyn, Sammy, Rissa, Brayden and Aliana Marie; special friend, Leslie Couch and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Barbara loved being in or on the water whether that be swimming or boating.

Family will receive guests from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439). A funeral service will begin at 10:30 am on Thursday, January 18th at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Miamisburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Hospice of Dayton, in Barbara's memory.
