Barbara L. Carpenter, 81, of Troy, OH passed away June 6, 2017 in Dayton, OH. Barbara was born in Monroe, Oklahoma on July 4, 1935 to George Thomas and Esther Mae (McCollins) Henderson, and married John Carpenter on May 25, 1963 in Oklahoma.
Barbara loved watching Westerns, hunting Morel mushrooms and loved to fish. She really enjoyed visiting and talking with family and friends, and loved all animals, especially birds and squirrels. She loved her family and friends dearly and will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by a daughter, Becky L. (Jack) Ansley; three grandchildren, Chris Wells, Jesse Wells and Loretta Ansley; and a great grandchild, Raven Konz; two stepsons, Rick and Tom Carpenter; a step daughter, Shirley Carpenter; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; two sister in laws and three brother in laws and several great friends in Morgan County. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John Carpenter.
A gathering will be held at Malta Cemetery in Malta, OH on June 24th from 1:00-2:00 pm, with burial of her cremated remains to follow.
