Barbara Jean "Bobbie" Book, age 72 of Butler Township, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born May 4, 1947 in Dayton, Oh the daughter of the late Vernie C. and G. Marie Heizer.
She graduated from Fairmont East High School in 1965. Bobbie was very athletic who enjoyed playing softball, basketball and field hockey. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was generous to all who knew her. Bobbie will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Sharon M. Lowe.
Bobbie is survived by her husband, Philip Book; two sons, David A. (Lynnette) Chesnut and Michael S. (Peggy) Chesnut; sister, Joyce (Steve) Pendell and brother, Vern Heizer; step-children, Keith (Darla) Book, Kelly Jo (Matt) Dosland, Christopher Book; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with many extended family and friends.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, June 25, 2019 from 3:00 – 4:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., where a memorial service will follow at 4:00 pm.
