Ballman, Barbara A, 92, of Beavercreek, OH, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Flint, MI on July 2, 1929 to Paul L. Powell and Juanita V. Powell, who predeceased her. She is survived by her sons, Donald R., of South Salem, NY and Douglas P., grandsons Travis A. (Miranda) Ballman and Matthew T., and great granddaughter, Olivia, all of Fairborn, OH, brother, Donald R. of North Carolina, sister, Phyllis J. of San Antonio, FL. and numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Louis K. in 2004 after 49 years of marriage and many adventures and much laughter and good natured hijinks and shenanigans. "Barbie" as she was affectionately known, loved gardening and yard work (mowing her own lawn until the age of 89), walking, keeping her home spotless, bingo, and especially the slot machines of Las Vegas, Florida, Ohio and Connecticut (when she won). Barbie was a loving and supportive mother and wife, and loyal friend, who sacrificed her own best interests to help others. She had a varied business career and was a tireless worker, moving to Dayton after high school to attend secretarial college and working over the years as a secretary, school cafeteria worker, child care worker and McDonald's crew member during retirement. Her smile, laughter and love for family will be greatly missed.
