Barbara Anne Combs "Cookie", age 72 passed away on July 13, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles W. & Vera Friend, brothers Joseph and David Friend, and ex-husband, Jerry Leopold.
She was a dedicated fisherman, mushroom hunter and gardener. She loved to work on her needlepoint in her spare time.
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Phillip E. Combs; son, Jerome Leopold; daughter, Susan Sextro; brothers: Charles (& Vicki), Stephen (& Annette); and sister, Donna (& Charles) Wagner. Grandchildren: Jennifer, CJ, Bobby and Phillip of Florida, and Angela and Jesse of Iowa.
A visitation will be held 1-2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH. Services will be held at 2:00 PM. Burial at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Dayton. To leave a message for the family, please click the Share Message button above.
