Barbara Ann O'Meara

O'MEARA, Barbara A., age 60, passed away Friday, October 9, 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Alvera Meyer and step-father, Walter Arling. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Edward O'Meara; sons, Sean of Brooklyn, NY and Aaron of Dayton; sister, Lois (William) Mescher of Sidney; brothers, Kenneth (Ginger) of Piqua, Wayne (Annette) of Minster, as well as many nieces and nephews. Barbara worked for Wright State University Center for Healthy Communities as a Health Advocate. She also volunteered and was co-President of Lincoln School PTO. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Emmanuel Catholic Church, 149 Franklin St., Dayton. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton. Family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
