Barbara Ann Jarrell

Jarrell, Barbara A. (nee Howard), went home to be with her Lord on March 11, 2010. Preceding her in death were her father, Berry C. Howard, Sr., her mother, Dorothy B. Howard (nee Braiser), and her brother, Berry C. Howard, Jr. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 42 years, Robert L., her daughters, Lorie A. Tester (Michael) of Clearwater, FL and Jeannie Jarrell-Turner (Jason) of Dayton, grandson, Jacob Jarrell, sister, Joan B. Sawyer of Tipp City, and special friend, Carol Miller, as well as many other beloved friends and relatives. Barbara lived her life with great love and care for others, even at the expense of her own needs. She will always be remembered for her contagious sense of humor, her gentle heart, and her great love of dogs, especially German Shepherds. She was a wonderful wife, a loving mother, and a loyal friend. A special thank you to the staff in the 4th floor neurological unit of Miami Valley Hospital and the wonderful people at Hospice of Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, March 15, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Interment will follow the service at Calvary Cemetery in Kettering. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Barbara's name to Hospice of Dayton of the American Cancer Society, envelopes will be provided.
