ALEXANDER (Fox), Barbara Adele, age 85, of Centerville, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2012 at Bethany Village. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence "Bud" E. Alexander, Jr.; daughter, Diane Craig; siblings, Margaret Kelly, Robert, Joseph, and Bernard Fox. Barbara is survived by her children, Paula Ferriell (Ron) of West Carrollton, Mark Alexander (Maria) of Richmond Heights, OH, David Alexander (Traci) of Lakeside Park, KY, and Bruce Alexander (Sherri) of Bellbrook; son-in-law, Ralph Craig (Ruth Ann) of Marion, OH; brother, Eugene Fox (Dorthabell) of Englewood, OH; sister-in-law, Mildred Steineman-Fricke of Centerville; grandchildren, Lt. Andrew Craig (Karla) and Russell Craig (Jennifer), Jeannie Barnard (Hank), Eric Ferriell, Brian Alexander, Christine Kletecka (Jay), Elizabeth Bowker (Christopher), Evan Alexander, Madeline and Jake Punch and Miles and Macy Alexander; great grandchildren, Kaylee and Keegan Craig, Jonathan and Joshua Craig, Bryson Barnard, AJ Kletecka, and Yeteva Bowker.

She was a 1944 graduate of Julienne High School and was a member of Holy Angels and St. Charles parishes. She retired from National City Bank. Barbara was very supportive of UD and an avid basketball fan. She spent a lot of time helping her husband with the U.S. Amateur Public Links Golf Qualifier from 1970-1999. Barbara and her husband enjoyed many of their retirement years fishing at Lake Erie.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, March 9, 2012 at St. Charles Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd., Kettering. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek and from 9:30-10:30 am on Friday, March 9, 2012 at the church. In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Dayton. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Bethany Village for all the love and care that they showed to Barbara.
