Babette "Betty" Matheney

March 18, 1935 — December 1, 2014

Babette "Betty" Matheney, age 79 of Miamisburg, went Home to be with her Lord on Monday, December 1, 2014. She was born March 18, 1935 in Schweinfurt, Germany. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Cordell Matheney, grandson, George Jeffrey Haddix, Jr.; mother, Anna Hinkle; sister, Ellie Hinkle and her brother, Horst Hinkle.

She is survived by her 6 children, Marjon Haddix, Charlene (Dave) Hartzell, Georgianna (Kenny) Haddix, Merlyn (Heidi) Yeager, George (Dona) Yeager and Tayna (Tommy) Rawlins; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Rosie (John) Connor and numerous family and friends.

Betty was active in both Amvets and VFWs within the Dayton area. She watched, cared for and loved her grandbabies from the time they were born. Betty's door was always open for anyone at any time they would need something.
