Ayinde David Van Zandt

February 24, 1978 — May 26, 2022

The Ayinde David Van Zandt sunrise February 24, 1978 sunset May 26, 2022. Ayinde is preceded in death by his loving parents, his mother, Carolyn Campbell, and father, William Van Zandt. He is also preceded in death by his grandparents Martha and Wilbert Campbell Sr., and by his Aunt Gwendolyn.

Ayinde was born on February 24, 1978 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He lived in Dayton, Ohio then after high school he moved to Columbus Ohio with his mother Carolyn Campbell. There he had his wonderful children Marshaun Van Zandt and Sabria Van Zandt. Ayinde moved back to Dayton Ohio and married his long-time love Chrisshawna and they had their son Krishaun Van Zandt. Ayinde was the most loving husband, father, and pops anyone could ask for. His last job was with RTA, which he really enjoyed. Even though he was heartbroken to say goodbye to his TSP coworkers who had become his close friends. He was loving and caring and had jokes for days. His family and friends were unable to control their laughter when he was around. He is and always will be (quoted by many) The Funniest Man Ever. Ayinde was so excited about getting back into bowling after a kind soul named Doug had given him a bowling ball. He also loves to build computers, gaming systems, mixing music, making beats, drawing and crafting, and not to forget making people laugh.

He left behind broken hearts, but plenty of happy memories to live by. He left behind many that love and adore him that will miss him tremendously that not even words alone can express how much he is loved and will be missed.

Ayinde leaves his memories and legacy with his beautiful wife Chrisshawna Van Zandt, his wonderful children Marshaun Van Zandt, Sabria Van Zandt, Krishaun Van Zandt, Shamaree (Mark) Tulloch, Shawnrica White, Shae'Linn Booker, and Shakiya Booker. He was a wonderful grandfather of 9 as they call him Pops! He is survived by his sisters Kanika Keith, and Zakiya (Eric) Robinson, not to forget to mention he was an outstanding uncle of 8 and the absolute most outstanding role model the children in the family could have asked for in this world. In his memory, he leaves his Aunt Mary, Uncle Larry, and Uncle PeeWee. Left to cherish his memories are his cousins Timothy (Rocki) Hamiter, La'Kesha Mason (Virginia Beach, VA), Larry Bradshaw, Robert Hamiter, Virgil (Shonda) Wright, Thomas Campbell, Wilbert A. Campbell III, Isaac Campbell, Isaiah (Katie) Campbell, Derrik Campbell, and his Uncle Larry Van Zandt and cousin Jacquetta Van Zandt and friends.
