Ashley Cierra Vancil, age 32, of Dayton, passed away September 2, 2019. Ashley was born in Dayton, Ohio on September 21, 1986 to Diana Ward.
Ashley will be remembered for being stubborn, having a strong will and a fiery personality. She fought passionately everyday to spend any second she could with her daughter, Kaidence. She was a mother first and everything else was second. She loved her mother's home cooked meals, and was very selective about her pickles and banana pepper's.
Ashley was preceded in death by mawmaw, Connie Lightcap; grand-father, Thomas Vancil; great-grandparents, Annabel and Ivan Jordan; uncles, Teddy Jordan and Bobby Vancil; life-long friend, Courtney Rogers.
She is survived by daughter, Kaidence Vancil; mother, Diana (Doug Dietrich) Ward; dad, Gary Scanlon; father, Doug (Julie) Vann, siblings, DJ Vann and Leslie Ward; grandparents, Robert Lightcap and Patricia (Dave) Thaxton; aunts, Wendy (Anthony), Belinda (Dick), and Janie (Paul); uncles, Al Vancil and Patrick (Carol) Dyer; special-friend, Thomas; faithful companion, Pandora; and numerous other family members and friends.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. Funeral service will begin at 1:00pm on Monday, September 9, 2019 Newcomer North Chapel. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park.
