Asa Lawrence Vest

VEST, Asa Lawrence, age 82, passed away Friday, July 24, 2009. Born to late Millard and Lena (Ward) Vest on Nov. 26, 1926. He is also preceded in death by step-father, Thomas F. "Dock" Goodpaster; brothers, Alvis (Kathleen) Vest, Wendell Vest, William (Marie) Vest, and Lucian (Ruth) Vest. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Emma Maxine (Gibson) Vest; son, Lawrence Dean (Diana) Vest; daughter, Traci (Gary) Coldiron; grandchildren, Autumn Hack, Kristin Coldiron, Michelle Coldiron, Dylan Pritchard, and Jordan Coldiron; great grandchildren, Hailey Lawhorn and Brennan Hack; brother, Vernon (Beulah) Vest, and sister, Lillian (Arnold) Nickell. Asa was a WWII veteran in U.S. Army and was employed for 30 years with Frigidaire & Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Potter Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY. Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Flatwoods Cemetery, Woodsbend, KY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Woodsbend Community Church, 4605 Highway 705,West Liberty, KY 41472.
