Arvel &Jeanette Hurst

October 12, 1934 — October 14, 2021

Arvel and Jeanette Hurst, both of Kettering, passed away within two days of each other (on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 and Thursday, October 14, 2021, respectively) after 70 years of marriage. They were both born in Jackson County, Kentucky on September 27, 1933 and November 12, 1934, respectively.

Along with their parents, they are both preceded in death by numerous siblings.

Arvel and Jeanette are survived by their three sons, Daniel Hurst, Donald (Marie) Hurst, and Arvel (Patty) Hurst Jr.; grandchildren, Arvel (Donna) Hurst III, Matt Hurst, Natasha (David) Pirman, Donald (Angie) Hurst Jr., Heather (Jerry) Borders, Hollie (Dan) Grilliot, Michael Martinez, and Moonie Hurst; 9 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Jeanette also leaves behind 2 siblings, Mavis Smith and Paul (Kathy) Berry Jr.; and very special friend, Ruth Johnson.

Arvel owned and operated his own trucking business, Hurst Trucking, in Dayton, Ohio. Before retiring in Florida, he was also an Operations Manager for Hardrives Inc.. Jeanette was a dedicated wife and mother who was devoted to ministry and won numerous souls to the Kingdom.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 12 pm at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
