Artis Rigdon

RIGDON, Artis F., 83, of Kettering passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Walnut Creek Nursing Home. He is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Sallie Rigdon; brothers Morgan and Brownie Rigdon. Artis is survived by his wife Agnes Rigdon; daughter and son-in-law Sharlotte and Ed Seacatt, of Beavercreek; son Michael Rigdon, of Hermosa Beach, CA; and very special friends Doris McKinney and Doris Coates. He was a devoted husband and father, who always put his family first, and will be greatly missed. Art was a great friend with a heart of gold. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army with service in the Korean War. Art retired from GM after 38+ years of service. He enjoyed all sports, especially refereeing football games from his recliner, as well as being an avid NASCAR fan. The family would like to give special thanks to Kathy Hubley and Nurse Caralee of Walnut Creek. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
