Arthur Thomas Seitz, age 77, of Vandalia, passed away on March 28, 2025. He was born on August 13, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents; Arthur Seitz and Barbara Seitz-McGuinn, and a son.
He is survived by 3 children, including his daughter, Becky; and his adored granddaughter Eve, who was the absolute joy of his life.
Art graduated from Chaminade high school in 1965 and went on to work for various employers until he opened his own produce shop, Art's Newport Produce, in Seattle, Washington. He also wrote his own memoir titled A Direction Without Distance, which he had submitted to numerous publishers.
Art treasured time with his daughter and granddaughter, but his greatest love was being outdoors in nature. He specifically spent countless hours at Taylorsville Metropark, where he felt completely at home and at peace.
He was truly the best dad and papa that any girl could have and will be missed so very much.
