Arthur Ray Boyd

Arthur Ray Boyd, age 68, went home to be with the Lord on January 20, 2011 from his residence. He was born in West Virginia on May 23, 1942. He was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur Chester and Julia Boyd; brother, Don; and father and mother-in-law: Virgil and Mae Thornsbury.

Ray is survived by his wife, Diana; daughters: Ann Glass and Ginger Daniels, both of Ashland, KY, Danielle Smith of Huber Heights, OH; 5 brothers: Mason and Robert of Dayton, OH, Earl of FL, Frank of GA and David of KY; 2 sisters: Garnett and Tim Bartram and Nita Schaffner of KY; 6 grandchildren; special friends, Walt Chaffin and Kay Ballard.

He was retired from Pepsi Cola Bottling Co., Dayton, OH; member of the Teamsters Union, Local 957 and loyal member of Pathway Baptist Church, Huber Heights.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday. Pastor Larry Whitt officiating. Burial to follow at Bearcreek Cemetery, Jefferson Township.
