Arthur Pruitt
Age 84, of Dayton, passed away Friday, January 11, 2008, at his home. Art was preceded in death by his parents and by five brothers. He is survived by his wife of the past 61 years, Georgia Lee Pruitt; three children, Brenda Pruitt, Arthur "Jerry" & Kathy Pruitt and Timothy & Julie Pruitt; 10 grandchildren, Matt & Katy Davis, Jason Davis, Jeremy & Stephanie Davis, Chris Pruitt, Patrick Pruitt, Bobby May, Angie & Joe Hogan, Sam Pruitt, Rachael Pruitt and Corinn Pruitt; two great grandchildren, Elaina Davis and Katana May; and by three brothers, Glenn, Ralph & Shelby and Joe & Jean Pruitt. Art was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. He retired from the Inland Div. of G. M. with 29 years of service, and he was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 777 F & AM and the OKI Bluegrass Association. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home with Pastor Perry Bilyeu officiating. Interment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Art to Crossroads Hospice.
