Arthur L. "Art" Banks
Age 67, of Tipp City, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 26, 2010.
Art is survived by his wife of the past 15 years, Mary E. "Bobbie" Banks; three children, Arthur, Jr & his wife, Elizabeth Banks, Cassandra Banks and Aretha & her husband, Johnny Johnson; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald Banks and Samuel & his wife, Dorothy Banks; and by his extended family & many good friends.
Art was a member of New Beginnings Church. He retired from General Motors with 31 years of service. He loved sports and while with G.M. he played on their softball team, along with coaching and earlier he played semi-pro softball as first baseman and shortstop.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 1, at New Beginnings Church, 6649 Chambersburg Road, Huber Heights. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
Contributions may be made in memory of Art to either the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
