Arthur J. Kindy, age 89 of Kettering, passed away December 8, 2012. He was born June 25, 1923 in Dayton to the late Raleigh and Mamie Kindy. In addition to his parents, Art was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Kindy; 3 brothers; 3 sisters; and 2 half sisters.
Art is survived by his children: Thomas Kindy, Diana Crumrine and Daniel (Leslie) Kindy; grandchildren: Anna Brick, Benjamin (Brandi) Crumrine, Joshua (Renee) Crumrine, Sara Kindy, Rebecca Kindy and Rachael Kindy; great grandchildren: William, Matthew, Jackson, Brice, Aiden, Ava, Brooklynn, Lyla and Jacob.
Art graduated from Fairmont High School; was a veteran of the U.S. Army, WWII, where he was a Paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division; and was a member of Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church.
Arrangements by Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road. A private service will be held for the family. Entombment will be held at Woodland Cemetery next to his wife.
