JOHANSON, Arthur A., age 87, of Kettering, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2005. He was born September 19, 1917 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Fritz C. and Augusta C. (Wilbas) Johanson. Art served with the Army Air Corps during World War II, was a member of Mighty Fortress Lutheran Church in Kettering, an architect/builder/owner of Johanson Construction Company, member of Dayton Masonic Lodge #147, and a member of Dayton Victory Chapter, O.E.S. #594. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annalean (Wallin); by his second wife, Hilda (Tipton); two daughters, Linda Johanson and Beverly Ann Porto; both parents. He is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Don and Becky Johanson, Gary Johanson, and Ron Johanson; one sister, Ruth Ericson; grandchildren, Jennifer Sherwood, Anna Johanson, Eric Johanson, Lisa Porto, Steve Porto, and Rick Porto; several great-grandchildren; loving friend and companion, Norma Clark. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 12, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Mighty Fortress Lutheran Church (2841 E. Dorothy Lane) with Pastor's, Roger Schalnat and Ron Wean officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund at Mighty Fortress Lutheran Church or Hospice of Dayton.
